TextPad
| TextPad is designed to provide satisfy the most demanding text editing performance, and functionality. It is a Windows host, and comes in 16 and 32-bit editions. Huge files can be edited either - just choose the edition that best suits to your computer. Edit 32-bit edition files up to the limits of virtual memory. TextPad has been to the Windows XP user interface guidelines, so great attention has been making it easy for beginners and experienced users paid implemented. In-context help is available for all commands, and in-context menus pop-up with the right mouse button. Windows multiple document interface allows multiple files to be edited simultaneously, with up to 2 views on each file. Text can drag and drop files between. Apart from the usual cut and paste capabilities, you are able to change the most common typing errors with commands to case, and transpose characters, words and lines to correct. Other commands indent blocks of text, split or join lines, and insert whole files. Any change can be undone or redone, right back made with the first. Visible bookmarks can be put on lines, and edit commands can be applied to lines with bookmarks. Frequently used combinations of commands can be saved as keystroke macros, and the spelling checker has dictionaries for 10 languages. TextPad has to compare a customizable tools menu, and integral file and search commands, with hypertext jumps from the matching text in the corresponding line in the source file (ideal for integrating compilers). |
